Full Access Admin privileges make you de facto Manager of all databases

And as you suggest, Reader access is all that's required to select and copy text, but that must be done either by selecting visible text from the document itself in Read mode, or by selecting the contents of an editable field in Edit mode. You may be using two features at cross-purposes here: the EventsR6 field displayed in the log documents is computed for display rather than editable; you've no doubt noticed that when you open a log document in Edit mode, the name (Server) and time (StartTime and EndTime) fields become editable, but EventsR6 does not: by opening a standard log document in Edit mode, you're actually preventing yourself from copying this computed field.

Note that with Full Access administration rights, you even have the power to change the design of any database as well if necessary, but that's not necessary -- or recommended -- here.
